The Quirky Stitch has expanded, and is now providing long-arm machine quilting services. Operating a fully computerised Gammill 'Statler' machine, you can now choose from more quilting designs and benefit from the following services offered by The Quirky Stitch:
- Basting -
Ideal for quilts that you want to quilt yourself. This service includes the basting your quilt top, wadding and backing fabric together on the machine an approx 1" stitch at 4" grid - both ways.
- Edge-to-Edge Quilting -
The most cost and time effective way to complete your quilt is an all over design (edge-to-edge). If you choose edge-to-edge (E2E) quilting and purchase your wadding from The Quirky Stitch's store I will offer the wadding at a discounted rate. The Quirky Stitch offer a postal service so your beautiful quilt is sent back to you as soon as it is quilted.

FREE of charge service to sew your prepared binding provided (one side only - you will need to complete the hand-stitching part :-))

Prepare your quit for machine quilting:
Backing and wadding must have at least four extra inches (10cm) on all sides (please don't include selvedge in backing seam)
Estimate the cost of machine quilting:
To estimate the cost of machine quilting your quilt, multiply the size of the quilt in inches then divide it by 144 to get the square footage. Multiply this by the style of quilting you would like and it will give you some idea as to what it might cost.

Basting - $1.50/sq.ft*
Edge-to-Edge Quilting - $5.00/sq.ft*

Binding - FREE (if prepared binding supplied; refer above for details)
Backing - $15/hr for joining backing service*
Minimum charge - $55*
NOTE: No charge for standard thread; speciality thread is at cost. Minimum charge is applicable.
