This quilt is designed with the aim of mindfulness; it designed for doing it rather than the challenge; the meditation of creating is the right description.
This quilt has very little machine piecing, concentrating on hand work, with mainly woven wool applique and stitchery, along with a small amount of English paper piecing. There are a few tiny challenges in there, but again; this is a great quilt for the beginner or advanced sewer who just wants to enjoy the process.
The quilt has 29 applique blocks, along with a few stitchery blocks and map blocks. The quilt’s theme is life's journey but has an element of travel also. The original quilt is designed in colours of blues, greys, taupes and a touch of salmon, with simple piecing, woven wool applique and stitchery. This pattern will have many colour images, simple easy-to-follow instructions, and reversed images for applique.
